Student answer (Band 6.0)
Unanimously, in this period of modernity and globalization, many people tend to save money as it helps in emergency situations while others do not prefer saving money due to different ideologies .This has been the prominent topic of discussion amongst people. Well, I strongly disagree with this notion and the supporting view will be discussed in further paragraphs with a suitable conclusion .
Firstly, supporting my disagreement to the given statement, I firmly have a belief that people should not save money and enjoy their life . Some people keep saving their money and miss all the good things in life. Young people should focus more on investing their educational skills rather than simply accumulating funds. Although spending, money on books, education, courses, skills, will increase their chances of getting a highly paid job in the future. Using money for self improvement is much better rather than simply saving it. To exemplify, as per an article in The Times, 55% youth cut corners in saving money.
Secondly, Saving too much money can prevent young people from enjoying important things and developing social skills. Participating in hobbies ,competition and spending time with their friends to contribute to their personal growth and career. For an instance, a young person who spends money on travelling may learn about other cultures, other cuisines and become more independent and confident in their life.
In conclusion, i pen down highlighting that, though saving money is beneficial to some extent and should not be completely ignored . I disagree that it should be considered to be very important specially for young people. In my opinion young people should maintain a balance between savings and spending money on education or personal experiences .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout, arguing against the necessity of saving for young people. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention investing in education and personal growth, the arguments could be more deeply explored with more specific, logical reasoning. The example provided regarding '55% youth' lacks context and feels slightly disconnected from the argument. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully extended with clear, logical links to the main thesis, rather than just stating the benefits of spending.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally weak. For example, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that ideas within paragraphs are more tightly connected would enhance the overall coherence of the essay.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms such as 'globalization', 'accumulating funds', and 'personal growth'. However, there are instances of slightly unnatural phrasing, such as 'I pen down highlighting that' and 'cut corners in saving money', which is used incorrectly here. To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and incorporating a wider range of less common lexical items in a more natural, context-appropriate manner.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent errors in punctuation and grammar, such as unnecessary spaces before periods, missing articles, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'Although spending, money on books... will increase'). Subject-verb agreement and comma usage need more attention. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your point, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will help improve your performance.
