Student answer (Band 6.0)

These days, it is very essential to save money for future use whether they are adult or younger ones.If questioned, i agree with this statement to a large extent. My preferences will be discussed in upcoming paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.

The fundamental reason for my inclinations is that needs of funds in crises time, if individuals save money which they have now, so it might be possible that he/she might need money for any kind of emergency they would have some money to use that at that time, for instance if there are money saved by any person and in if future he/she might have any kind to medical emergency in there house then there will be no need to ask for money from anyone else or taking an urgent loan at that time.

Moreover, we all can save money it is not only about that money can be saved by only adults but sometimes if younger ones knows how to save money it gets easier for them in future if they have to buy something for educational purpose and don't have to ask for pocket money every month from their parents. Additionally, peoples can save money in any way i.e, they just don't have to keep money from there salaries, as sometimes it is possible that individual want to save funds but as it is not compulsory so they use the salaries or wages they get, so they can have life insurance or any kind of medical insurance in which it is compulsory to submit amount each year or month by which their and their families life gets easy in future.

However, it can not be overlooked that some want to save funds for future but they do not get enough salary or wages that they can keep some amount for future use.

To sum up, there are advantages and some minor disadvantage for the peoples who wants to save but do not have enough salaries.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas regarding emergency funds and financial independence for young people are relevant. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, and the final paragraph introduces a counter-argument that is not fully integrated or balanced with the main argument. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively summarize the main points. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your supporting points with more specific, real-world examples and ensure that the counter-argument is addressed in a way that reinforces your overall stance.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow between ideas is sometimes mechanical. While you use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Additionally', the sentence structure within paragraphs is often fragmented, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical progression. For example, the second paragraph consists of a very long, run-on sentence that obscures the main point. Improving the use of punctuation and varying your transition words would help create a smoother, more professional flow of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'money' and 'save' repeatedly. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'younger ones' instead of 'young people' or 'youth', and 'crises time' instead of 'times of crisis'. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms and topic-specific terminology related to personal finance, such as 'financial security', 'budgeting', or 'fiscal responsibility'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'peoples can save'), incorrect pronoun usage, and run-on sentences that lack proper punctuation. The sentence 'if there are money saved by any person and in if future he/she might have any kind to medical emergency in there house' is particularly difficult to parse due to grammatical errors. Focusing on sentence boundary control and basic subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your score.
