Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, preserving money is essential for everyoneand specially for younsters. I, completely agree with this statement.
One of the most convincing reason behind my agreement is that people of all ages have to save money for their future because future is uncertain. We are not aware about our future, if we cannot earn enough money in future than we can use our savings easily. Moreover, saved money will help people in any emergency case. For example, if a student wants to pay large amount of fees he can pay easily from the saving he did while doing a part time job.
Not only this, money which was preserved in past will give us profit in future. By investing large amount of saved money can be use for buying house, car or can be invest in stock market to earn more and more profit. Every one have to save money which will help them to ensure that there future will be safe and can fix there money in saving account for safety purpose.
On the other hand, people think that saving money means to sacrifice there daily needs. They have to use limited things, because they have to save some part of their income. People think that they cannot enjoy their life if they save money.
To conclude, people have to save more and more money to secure their future and saved money can be beneficial by investing it and can earn profit from it. But some people do not want to store money they just want to spend it for enjoyment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the uncertainty of the future and the benefits of investment. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the sacrifice of daily needs is introduced in the fourth paragraph but is not fully explored or countered to strengthen the overall position. The essay would benefit from more detailed examples and a deeper analysis of why saving is particularly important for young people, rather than just general statements about 'everyone'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Moreover', 'Not only this', and 'On the other hand', which help the flow of ideas. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are instances where the progression of ideas could be smoother. For example, the jump between the benefits of saving and the counter-argument about daily needs lacks a strong linking sentence to connect the two perspectives effectively. Paragraphing is present but could be more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is frequent repetition of basic words like 'money', 'save', and 'future'. Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'preserving money' instead of 'saving money' or 'fix their money' instead of 'deposit their money'. While the meaning is always clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common or idiomatic language that would be required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Every one have to save'), incorrect pronoun usage (e.g., 'fix there money' instead of 'their'), and missing articles. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the message, they are frequent enough to limit the score. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would significantly improve the quality of the writing.
