Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is generally considered essential for everyone to save money for their upcoming life, including yonger generations. Although, i agree with the statement, i also believe that investing money for good future is equally important.
To begin with, there are so many benefits of reserving money for the future life especially in the current economy. Firstly, it gives a sense of satisfaction that the future is secure. Secondly, if in the upcoming life any uncertainities occur a secure amount can be useful at the time of hardship. For example, covid affected many businesses, those who have enough saving got pass through that stage without starving. Moreover, these habits should be instilled in children from younger ages, this will help them to become financially responsible.
However, saving alone is not enough for the better future, but investing the money in the right place will give a better life. Forexample, investing in good education of your children will not just give them the good life but will increase the literacy rate of the country which in return improve the economy. Similary, investing in a business will generate more money instead of keeping a stagnant amount in your account for future.
In conclusion, saving money is important but investing it for a good cause gives you better results. Investing money along with saving will not just improve ypur lifestyle but also promise a secure and stable future life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of saving and introducing the concept of investing. However, the response is 15 words under the 250-word minimum, which negatively impacts the development of ideas. While the position is clear, the arguments regarding the distinction between saving and investing could be more thoroughly extended with more specific examples. The conclusion is brief, and the overall development is somewhat limited due to the length constraint. To improve, ensure each body paragraph contains a more detailed explanation or a second illustrative example to meet the word count and provide a more comprehensive response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the flow between the idea of saving and the shift to investing could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, though the connection between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be more tightly integrated. Overall, the structure is functional and supports the progression of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'instilled', 'uncertainties', and 'stagnant', which demonstrate a reasonable range. However, there are minor spelling errors ('yonger', 'Forexample', 'Similary', 'ypur') and some word choice issues, such as 'upcoming life' instead of 'future'. While these do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Expanding the range of collocations and ensuring precision in word choice would improve the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'those who have enough saving got pass through' (should be 'savings' and 'got through') and 'saving alone is not enough for the better future' (article usage). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some issues with comma usage and sentence boundaries. While the errors do not prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Increasing the variety of complex structures and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and article usage would be beneficial.
