Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often argued that money is very important for the living life and having a money is very useful in future so we everything do in life. i agree or disagree with this view because having lot of money so we live luxury life and the dream life of everyone and with lot of money we don't buy other happiness.

One major statement is earning a lot of money is make live very simple and without any stress. When a person earned a lot of money doing hard work they can buy anything for their family happiness. And they solve any problem relate to money they can solve their problem using the money. Using the money they can provides best facillities to their children. For example:- If any relative member of them in hospital and the cost of operation and medicine and their family member can not afford it so they give money to him. Therefore a money can solve any big probmbles of life.

Another side is When we have lot of money and the children don't have knowledge of saving money and how to use properly so that is big problem for parents. When for starting the childhood they provides all thing which their children need. So they don't think about a harwork in their life and only waste the parents money. For example:- If we have a lot of money and when person has alone in their life. So they buy not happiness in their life. For that reason money can buy the car, respect or other non living thing but they did not by other happiness and etc. So for some time money is limited in life promblem.

In conclusion, i strongly believe that we can make our life easy and simple with money because they can solve our some life problem which other did not solve because of money and there is also important to save the money and use in right time and right place is important for everyone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt, but the position is inconsistent. In the introduction, you state 'i agree or disagree', which fails to take a clear stance. While you provide arguments for both sides, the development is often repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the discussion on children and money is somewhat disjointed and does not fully link back to the importance of saving for the future. To improve, ensure your introduction clearly states your opinion and that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea that directly supports your thesis.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often unclear due to awkward phrasing and a lack of effective cohesive devices. You rely on simple transitions like 'One major statement' or 'Another side is', which feel mechanical. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes confusing, such as in the second paragraph where the pronoun 'they' is used ambiguously. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') to create a smoother flow between sentences and paragraphs.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'money', 'life', and 'good'. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'living life' instead of 'daily life' and 'non living thing' instead of 'material possessions'. Additionally, there are frequent spelling errors like 'facillities', 'probmbles', and 'harwork'. To improve, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary and collocations. Expanding your range of synonyms and focusing on accurate word forms will significantly enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'earning a lot of money is make live'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making them difficult to follow. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect pluralisation. Practising simple, error-free sentences is a better foundation than attempting complex structures that are currently causing errors.
