Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating an agreement with the importance of saving money. The ideas are relevant, focusing on financial discipline and security in old age. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of 'financial discipline' is repetitive, and the section on 'old life' relies on generalizations about family dependency. While the position is clear throughout, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific, well-developed examples. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning or concrete scenarios rather than listing general outcomes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'As a result', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'It's mean that' or 'Therefor' (spelled incorrectly). Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help your writing flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your main points clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'financial crisis', 'financial discipline', and 'stable, empowered life'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'he started save money', 'successful to buying', and 'livings peacefully'. These errors indicate a limited range of vocabulary and a lack of precision in word formation. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that you use the correct word forms (e.g., nouns vs. verbs).

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'it help ensure', 'saving money provide'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'young people should saving'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and occur in almost every sentence. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex structures.
