Student answer (Band 6.5)
The importance of everyone including the young people saving money for their future is enormous. I completely agree with this view because this makes them self-reliant and prepares for any future uncertainties and obstacles.
One of the major advantages of securing money for future is that it makes one self dependent. people understand the importance of money from a very early age and consequently do not overspend on anything as people who save money usually have a budget allocated for savings. Additionally, it gives people a sense of freedom and can walk away from something which is disrespectful. Moreover, they get to spend the money on their interest without putting financial pressure on their parents.
Another positive aspect of saving money for the future is, people can invest the money on emergency situations as life is very uncertain and anything can happen to anyone whether its a major hearth issue or for close ones. In addition to that, loss in business or termination from job can occur without any alert and so if there's a money saved all along, it gives them additional time and comfort to overcome such situations. For example, many lost their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, those who had saved dealt with the unemployment better with many starting online businesses with that money. By the time the situation got better, the businesses flourished, leaving them with more profitability. Therefore, saving for the future is important.
In conclusion, it is necessary for all including the young people as well to save money for the future as it makes them get ready for the uncertain situations in the future and self-reliant.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have clearly addressed the prompt and maintained a consistent position throughout the essay. Your arguments regarding self-reliance and financial security are relevant and well-supported. The inclusion of the Covid-19 pandemic as an example effectively illustrates your point about emergency preparedness. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are fully extended; for instance, the point about 'walking away from something disrespectful' is interesting but remains underdeveloped. Overall, you have provided a clear, logical response that covers all parts of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'In addition to that' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and each paragraph has a clear central topic. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that referencing (e.g., 'such situations') is always precise to avoid any ambiguity in the progression of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'self-reliant', 'uncertainties', and 'flourished'. There are some minor word-choice errors, such as 'hearth issue' (likely meant 'health issue') and 'money saved all along' (which is slightly unnatural). While you successfully convey your meaning, the vocabulary is generally functional rather than sophisticated. To achieve a higher score, focus on using more precise collocations and less common lexical items to express your ideas with greater nuance and academic tone.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips, such as 'prepares for any future uncertainties' (missing a reflexive pronoun 'themselves') and 'anything can happen to anyone whether its a major hearth issue' (punctuation and spelling errors). You have good control over basic structures, but your complex sentences occasionally contain minor errors in agreement or article usage. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will help you move into the higher band range.
