Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is thought that it is crucial for every person that they should save money for the future. I strongly agree with the statement because it is a future investment as well as they can afford their own homes.
The primary reason for the money saving is that that it is a future investment. By this I mean that people can gain benefits from their savings as they can invest their revenue in businesses. If individuals start businesses with their money, they can gain substantial profits by beginning any profitable business. Additionally, they will be stress free due to their own businesses and money privileges. For instance, individuals, having money, may not worry about upcoming challenges related to money making. If they do not save money, they will struggle if they require money for businesses.
Another important reason is that adults can afford their own homes by reserved funds. If adult start saving money, they will have sufficient funds to build their own buildings. In addition, they will not pay any rent and can save lots of money. Then they can purchase any of their dream car or mobile by that money. For example, adults can save more money than other ages people because they do not spend money on anything such as their wives or children. Thus they will have adequate money to create their own house and can live happily. Moreover, they can buy any vehicle or smartphone if they like.
In conclusion, I contend that it is necessary for any age person that they should save money for the future as they may gain benifits in the form of their own homes and businesses.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position and providing two main reasons: investment potential and home ownership. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The argument regarding home ownership is weakened by the illogical claim that adults save more because they do not spend money on wives or children, which is a generalization that lacks factual support and distracts from the main point. While the position is consistent throughout, the supporting arguments would benefit from more nuanced reasoning and less repetitive phrasing to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'The primary reason', 'Additionally', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. For example, the transition 'By this I mean that' is a bit wordy. Referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly rather than relying on simple sentence-initial connectors.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'money', 'save', and 'business'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, such as 'revenue' and 'substantial profits', there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'money privileges' and 'other ages people'. Spelling is generally accurate, but the range of vocabulary is restricted, preventing a higher score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the money saving', 'the future investment') and subject-verb agreement ('If adult start'). Some sentences are slightly clunky, such as 'Then they can purchase any of their dream car or mobile by that money.' These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent the essay from reaching the 7.0 band, which requires more frequent error-free sentences.
