Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's modern era, it is essential for every individual, as well as for youngsters also, reduces expenditure and save funds for the future. I largely agree with this notion, because of financial security and retirement esae it provides.
One compelling reason behind my agreement is that saving is essential due to the uncertain future challenges that anybody can came through. This is to say that funds provides a stability and security for dealing with upcoming events. Anyone can utilise the saved money in the difficulties and circumstances of the life. For instance, in future there are more expenses because of the rising demand of commodities and increasing prices of even essentials also. If anyone does not have adequate funds then it is difficult for them to cope up with these challenges.
Furthermore, saving also provides ease in retirement. As it is for future and retirement is also related to it. To clarify, in the old age everyone wants rest from their daily routines and their earning capability is not same as it was in the past, so retirement is necessary. If anyone wants to retire then he must be sure that he have adequate funds to fulfill their daily needs. As a result, if somebody has not saved their retirement ill come as a challenge in their life because of insufficient savings.
In conclusion, I reaffirm that saving is necessary because of the arising needs and challenges of the future. Moreover, savings also provide protection from unforeseen happenings of the life and also stability of funds to plan retirement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas regarding financial security and retirement are relevant and logically extended. However, the development is somewhat repetitive, particularly in the second and third paragraphs where the focus on 'future' and 'funds' is restated without adding significant depth or nuance. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more specific examples or explore the counter-argument (e.g., the importance of spending for economic growth or personal development) to demonstrate a more balanced and sophisticated understanding of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'To clarify', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'If anyone' or 'If somebody'. The referencing is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by varying the structure of your cohesive links. The overall progression is logical, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be tighter to avoid the sense of list-like points.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'expenditure', 'financial security', and 'commodities'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'retirement esae' (likely a typo for 'ease') and 'came through' (which is not the correct collocation for 'future challenges'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive word choices like 'funds' and 'future' by using synonyms or paraphrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('funds provides', 'retirement ill come'), incorrect verb forms ('anyone can came through'), and awkward phrasing ('cope up with'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often lacks the flexibility required for higher bands. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and refining your use of modal verbs would significantly improve the accuracy and readability of your writing.
