Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued by some people that saving money for the future is very crucial for everybody including young individuals. I completely agree with this argument.
There are several reasons which support the argument. Firstly, if everyone can save money for their future, they will feel relax about their future. Thus, they can live with happiness which has a positive effect on their well-being. Secondly, saving money for future anyone can retire early. As a result, they can enjoy their personal life by creating sweet moments with family members. As a result, they can strengthen their bonding with family. Moreover they can explore their hobbies by investing more time.
Furthermore, they can fulfill their dreams like buying cars, making house or buying property.
In addition, by saving money for future everyone can do charity which makes them a better human being. Besides, people can face any financial problems in future but if they have savings then they can solve those issues. For instance, my uncle has some financial issue because he has no jobs for several months but he has not face any troubles as he has savings. However, an accident can occur with anyone, then they may need a lot of money. Therefore, if they have any savings they can afford the cost. Besides, elderly people can face any types of health issues and they might require huge amount of money for treatment, but if they have savings then it will not be a burden.
In conclusion, money is very important in our life. So, there have no alternatives of saving money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. The ideas are relevant and cover multiple facets of the topic, such as emotional well-being, financial security, and health. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the mention of 'buying cars' or 'making house' is a list-like approach rather than a deep exploration of the implications of saving. To reach a higher band, you should focus on developing fewer points with more depth and logical analysis rather than listing many points briefly. The conclusion is also quite abrupt and lacks a summary of the main arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'Moreover', and 'In addition' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, 'As a result' is used twice in the same paragraph, which makes the flow feel slightly stilted. Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial problems', 'charity', and 'well-being'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'making house' (instead of 'building a house') and 'sweet moments'. There is also a reliance on basic vocabulary. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common lexical items to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, while ensuring they are used in the correct context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'if everyone can save money... they will feel relax' (should be 'relaxed'), 'my uncle has some financial issue' (should be 'issues'), and 'he has not face any troubles' (should be 'has not faced'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. To achieve a higher band, you need to increase the frequency of error-free sentences and improve your control over complex grammatical structures.
