Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary era, many people believe that everyone should save money for their future, meanwhile others believe that it is not that necessary to save money for the long run. Actually, it varies from person to person. This essay will examine both perspectives before giving my own stance. However, i strongly believe that it is really crucial to save money to tackle any kind of situations in the long run.
First and fore most, i would like to say that future is always uncertain. No one knows what's going to be happen tomorrow. Thus, we should prepare ourselves in such a way so that we can able to handle any kinds of uncertainty. For instance, i learnt a huge lesson during the covid-19 period. All of my income sources went down , even i could not afford a new cloth on the occasion of EID. Since then i understood the value of saving money. Another good example is during 2024's flood all of our finished goods washed away from our factory, consequently we faced a huge financial loss, but rose again because we had enough financial support to run the business again.
Now, going toward the second school of thought, where many people especially, younger generation tend to spend more money to fit them in a particular social group. For instance, it is really important for them to keep up to date with modern technologies, thus they tend to go with newer trends such as replacing their old models of I phone's to newer one's.
They prefer to live always on the edge in every moment. Their philosophy is like that as future is uncertain may be we die tomorrow, so what's the point of saving money, rather we should spend more and make our every moments for colorful .
After discussing both perspectives i would to say that , younger generation should shift their focus on saving more money, as future is uncertain.
To sum up, i would like to say that everybody should have some savings so that they can cope up and adapt to an unfamiliar situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You successfully balanced the two perspectives by discussing the necessity of saving versus the younger generation's tendency to spend. Your personal examples, such as the COVID-19 impact and the 2024 flood, provide relevant support for your argument. However, the development of the second perspective is slightly less analytical, focusing more on descriptive examples of spending habits rather than the underlying reasons for them. To reach a higher band, ensure that all arguments are equally extended and that the conclusion directly reinforces the main thesis without introducing new phrasing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'First and fore most', 'Thus', and 'To sum up' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow could be smoother. For example, the transition to the second school of thought is a bit abrupt. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different viewpoints, which helps the overall readability of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary era', 'uncertainty', and 'financial support'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'new cloth' (should be 'new clothes') and 'finished goods washed away' (which is slightly awkward in this context). Additionally, there are minor punctuation errors with apostrophes, such as 'I phone's' and 'one's'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the essay from reaching a higher band score for lexical range and precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'we can able to handle' (should be 'we are able to handle'), 'what's going to be happen' (should be 'what is going to happen'), and 'make our every moments for colorful' (should be 'make every moment more colorful'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the essay, and the errors do not significantly impede the reader's understanding.
