Saving money is a life skill and important in this fragile and unpredictable economy . Because the economy can pass through tough crisis when people start losing their jobs like what happened in the pandemic year , when a lot of companies reduced their activities due to COVID protection instructions , thus , they were obligated to reduce the number of employees as well , and so many people were found jobeless in the blink of an eye , so many peoples were able to buy their necessities in order to survive while other people were not able to even buy personal protective equipments from this deadly virus , that's resulted in death , starvation and conflicts in the families . Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive. While the pandemic example is relevant, the explanation of how young people can 'exploit' money into useful things is vague and lacks depth. The essay would benefit from more specific examples of how young people can practically save or invest, rather than focusing primarily on the negative consequences of not saving. The position is consistent, but the supporting arguments could be more varied and analytical to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into an introduction, a body paragraph, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression within the body paragraph is hindered by overly long, run-on sentences. For example, the second paragraph is essentially one massive sentence that makes the flow difficult to follow. While some cohesive devices are used (e.g., 'thus', 'in conclusion'), they are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that creates a mechanical feel. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the body paragraph needs better segmentation to improve readability and logical flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'exploit it into useful things' and 'peoples' (plural of people is already people). The phrase 'in the blink of an eye' is a cliché that does not fit the academic tone. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'economy', 'crisis', and 'necessities', the overall range is limited, and there are noticeable errors in word formation and collocation that occasionally impede the reader's flow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple and compound structures, often resulting in run-on sentences that lack proper punctuation. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('whom ability to learn is stronger') and incorrect verb forms ('help them developing'). Punctuation is also problematic, with spaces before commas and a lack of sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of grammatical errors and the lack of complex, error-free structures limit the score. More attention to basic sentence construction and proofreading is required.
