Student answer (Band 6.5)
With the changing dynamic of the modern world, there has been a noticeable shift in people's development towards the investment of economy. It is pivotal for every individual including youths to save money for their future. I agree with the statement as it offers them financial security when in need and gives them opportunity to achieve their future goals and support their family.
To commence with, the most prominent reason for agreeing with the importance of saving money for future is the help it provides an individual when in serious need. This is because investment in terms of buying land or keeping money in savings can reduce financial pressure. For example, many people in India invests their money by buying gold, a land or other financial assets. This can help them when they are in need such as medical emergencies and repaying outstanding loans. Thus helping them an offer through their own money saved for future needs.
Moving further, another prominent reason for agreeing with the notion is that it offers an opportunity to develop and support their family. If a young individual saves money consistently, they may eventually have enough capital to start a business without relying heavily on loans. This can help them develop their career as they grow older. For instance, someone who begins saving from a young age may later use those funds to pursue higher education, establish a business or support a family.”
To conclude, it is crucial to save money for future because it provides financial security during emergencies while also helping individuals achieve long-term goals and support their families.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating an agreement with the necessity of saving money. The position is consistent throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, focusing on financial security during emergencies and long-term goal attainment. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the explanation of how saving helps in 'repaying outstanding loans' is brief. To reach a higher band, the essay would benefit from more detailed elaboration on the long-term societal or personal benefits of financial literacy among youth, rather than just listing examples like buying gold or starting a business.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central topic sentence. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moving further', and 'Thus' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally repetitive. For example, the phrase 'another prominent reason for agreeing with the notion' is a bit wordy. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is easy to follow throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial assets', 'capital', and 'financial security'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies and awkward collocations, such as 'investment of economy' (which is unclear) and 'helping them an offer through their own money'. The range is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for a higher band. Incorporating more varied synonyms and idiomatic expressions would enhance the lexical quality.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical slips. For example, 'many people in India invests' should be 'invest' (subject-verb agreement), and 'a land' is an uncountable noun usage error. There are also minor punctuation issues, such as the stray quotation mark at the end of the second body paragraph. Despite these errors, the grammar does not impede communication, and you demonstrate a reasonable control over sentence construction.
