Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes definitely honestly in my point of view beside adults young people should also do savings for their future. because it will help him to manage their daily life needs and also they will not depend on others and they do not have to ask for some help they can manage their necessities at their own.Above this if young people moving to another country or city they should do savings for the hard time also because you do not know when and where the difficulty comes from i would like to give you example from my own house when y brother passed his ielts test we did not have any idea that he even could passed the test but he worked very hard and his result was more than our expectations as we were not expecting any positive response from him so we did not arrange money for his fees and also for the tickect and for statement .At that moment i still remember we faced alot of difficulties because in a very short time period we were unable to manage such a huge amount.as we were unable to arrnage enough money then my father decided to sell my mothers gold and also he sold out our inherited house which had our lots of memories. If at that time my brother or my father had saved some money so we had not be abled to suffered from this much trouble so in conclusion i would like to recommend to the young generation to start saving money if you are rich or poop

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of young people saving money. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and relies heavily on a single personal anecdote. While the example of the brother's IELTS test and the subsequent financial hardship is relevant, the essay lacks a broader discussion on the economic or psychological benefits of saving for the future. The conclusion is abrupt and contains a typo ('poop' instead of 'poor'), which detracts from the overall argument. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the general benefits of financial literacy and provide more varied supporting points beyond a single narrative.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks formal paragraphing, appearing as a single block of text, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. There is a lack of cohesive devices; sentences are often linked by simple conjunctions like 'and' or 'because' rather than sophisticated transitions. While the logical flow is generally understandable, the absence of clear paragraph breaks and the repetitive use of basic connectors hinder the overall coherence. To improve, you must organize your response into clear paragraphs (introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion) and use a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', and 'in addition'.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple terms like 'manage', 'help', and 'money'. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'do savings' (should be 'save money'), 'above this' (should be 'furthermore'), and 'tickect' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate precision or flexibility. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to incorporate more academic collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to finance and personal development, while ensuring accurate spelling and word formation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('he even could passed'), tense consistency, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. There is a lack of complex sentence structures; most sentences are simple or compound with errors. For example, 'if at that time my brother or my father had saved some money so we had not be abled to suffered' contains multiple errors in conditional structure and verb form. You need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction and punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
