Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many people believe that savings money is very crucial these days for their future self as well as young people and everybody. I completely Agree with this view because having money in the future can help many unpredictable problem and saving money from an early age can help people build better future and can provide financial security.
Firstly. why young people should save money is that it can provide financial security in the future. Unexpected expenses can occur at any time, such as medical bills, repairs or period of unemployment. Having savings mean that people do not have to depend of their families or borrow money when these situation arise. For instance, a young men who regularly saves a part of his income may have enough money to deal with an unexpected expenses without worrying serious financial difficulties.
Another import reason is that saving can help young people achieve their long-term goals. Many major expenses, such as university tuition fee, buying a house or starting a business, it require a considerable amount of money. Making the habit of saving early allow people to gradually build enough fund for these goals. For instance, a student who save a small amount of money from part time job could eventually use the money to start a business or pay for education or other important needs.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that everyone, including young people should start saving money for the future. Saving can provide financial stability and protection against unexpected expenses and helps people achieve important long-term goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position in the introduction and maintaining it throughout. The ideas regarding financial security and long-term goals are relevant and supported with logical explanations and examples. However, the development is somewhat basic; for instance, the examples provided are generic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more specific details or nuanced reasoning. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument could be improved to move beyond general statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Another import reason', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, there are some minor issues with mechanical cohesion, such as the sentence fragment 'Firstly. why young people...' and some slightly repetitive phrasing. The flow is generally smooth, but the transition between sentences could be more sophisticated to avoid a somewhat formulaic structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial security', 'unemployment', and 'tuition fee'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional errors in word choice and form, such as 'savings money' (should be 'saving money') and 'import reason' (should be 'important reason'). To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and less common lexical items to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('it require', 'student who save'), incorrect prepositions ('depend of'), and punctuation errors (the fragment after 'Firstly'). These errors occur frequently enough to be noticeable but do not impede communication. To achieve a higher band, you need to increase the frequency of error-free complex sentences and pay closer attention to basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb forms and agreement.
