Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention the need for a home and transport, the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The discussion regarding young people is repetitive, focusing heavily on the idea that 'money is everything' rather than exploring nuanced financial planning or long-term security. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more sophisticated reasoning, such as the impact of inflation, the benefits of compound interest, or the psychological security that savings provide, rather than relying on generalizations about wealth and respect.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to signal transitions. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. For example, the transition between sentences in the second paragraph is slightly disjointed, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically builds upon the previous one without relying on repetitive phrasing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'money', 'cash', and 'good'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'up comping days' (upcoming), 'enough balance', and 'in late time'. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations related to finance and personal development. Avoid repeating the same words in close proximity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everyone will trying'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'they will be not able to earn'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'that how can I will be successful'). Punctuation is also inconsistent in places. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
