Student answer (Band 5.5)
Saving money is important for every individual independent of age groups for their future wellbeing. I firmly believe that managing future finances by saving money is necessary to all age groups including youngsters, however, it also depends on personal financial circumstances.
People save money for their upcoming financial requirements and it is important for youth as they might face any financial difficulty in future. Adults buy assets and save money in different ways to enjoy a smooth retirement life however it is equally beneficial for young people as they have a long way to go. Therefore it is important for all age groups to save amount of money in their ongoing life. People might face any emergency or hard situations including health problems, unemployment, etc. in their lives so in such circumstances, individuals can consume the saved money and these circumstances can occur in the lifetime of all age groups. For example, Ahmed (28 yrs old students) finds many difficulties during his master studies after his father death.
Some people think that saving money is not beneficial if not spend at the current available and a person can predict his life while many people also argue that savings money depends on person financial situations. The rich people possessing huge assets and income do not need any savings specifically when they are young and they must enjoy their financial freedom, instead the individuals who have low financial income and assets needs to be more cautious and their preference should be saving some amount of money to manage their future needs.
In conclusion, possessing an amount of financial savings is essential for everyone independent of age including young ones however it also depends on personal situations and preferences.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that saving is important for all age groups. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention emergencies and retirement, the explanation remains quite general. The example of 'Ahmed' is a good attempt to provide a personal illustration, but it is underdeveloped and lacks sufficient detail to fully support your argument. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments, perhaps by discussing the long-term benefits of compound interest for young people or the psychological security that savings provide. The conclusion is clear, but the overall depth of the essay is consistent with a Band 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'therefore', 'however', and 'for example' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the paragraphing could be more sophisticated. For instance, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is a bit abrupt. Some referencing is also slightly unclear, such as 'if not spend at the current available', which makes the logic difficult to follow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would help improve the overall cohesion of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'financial circumstances', 'upcoming financial requirements', and 'financial freedom'. However, there are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'save amount of money' (should be 'save an amount of money' or 'save money') and 'if not spend at the current available'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your expression. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word forms are accurate. You have a sufficient range to convey your meaning, but more sophisticated vocabulary is needed for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'independent of age groups' (should be 'regardless of age'), 'after his father death' (should be 'after his father's death'), and 'needs to be more cautious' (should be 'need to be more cautious' to agree with the plural 'individuals'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of your message. To achieve a higher score, you should aim for more error-free sentences and ensure subject-verb agreement and possessive forms are used correctly.
