Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the points about confidence and family support are relevant, the supporting examples are problematic; for instance, citing Elon Musk as a 'trillionaire' is factually incorrect and does not effectively illustrate the point about saving for the future. The essay ends abruptly mid-sentence, which means the final argument is not developed, and the conclusion is missing. This lack of completion significantly impacts the overall task fulfillment.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay uses basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Finally' to structure the paragraphs. However, the logical progression is hindered by the incomplete nature of the final paragraph. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the opening sentence where the phrasing 'strong future wealth should be rescue' is confusing. Paragraphing is attempted, but the lack of a concluding paragraph and the abrupt ending of the third paragraph disrupt the overall flow and coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often inaccurate. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'rescue their money' instead of 'save' or 'accumulate', and 'facilitate their family' used in an unnatural context. The phrase 'Divine world' is also an inappropriate collocation for the context of travel. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the persistent errors in word formation and usage make the writing feel repetitive and occasionally difficult to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The grammatical range is limited, relying mostly on simple sentence structures. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, such as 'society always warmly welcome' and 'their family getting a best educational system'. Articles are frequently misused or omitted, and there are issues with tense consistency. Complex structures are attempted but often result in ungrammatical phrasing, such as 'those whose have strong status as compare to those whose have no strong of source of income'. These errors are frequent and occasionally impede the reader's understanding.
