Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the importance of financial independence and the potential for young people to avoid debt. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding the stress of saving is mentioned but not fully explored in depth. The response covers all parts of the task, but the supporting examples, such as the personal anecdote, are brief and lack sufficient detail to fully persuade the reader. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points while adding a nuanced perspective on balancing career development with financial planning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore', 'To take an example', and 'To conclude', which help guide the reader. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or awkward, such as the transition in the first paragraph ('Although financial burden is reality, so one can face atleast one time in a life'). Referencing is generally clear, but some sentences are disjointed, which occasionally disrupts the smooth progression of ideas. Overall, the paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the coherence of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific language like 'financial independence', 'career development', and 'unpredictable situations'. However, there are several spelling errors ('becouse', 'experiance', 'yound', 'utalize', 'belives', 'freedome') and some awkward collocations ('financial burden is reality', 'people or below 30 age'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a limited range of vocabulary and a lack of precision in word choice, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('one’s should have', 'young people... gets the job') and incorrect article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with commas. Despite these frequent errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the text. To improve, the writer should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips, as the current frequency of errors is noticeable and occasionally distracts from the content.
