Student answer (Band 6.5)
it is vital for everyone, including young adults to save money for their future. I stongly agree with this statement, as it helps individuals to meet up with financial responsiblities, emergencies and improve their standard of living.
One of the major reasons why I support this statement is that saving money help members of society to meet up with financial commitments and basic needs of life such as food, clothing and shelter. This ensures that individuals have adequate fund to cater for their themselves and families. Also, in cases of emergencies, it ensures that they can conveniently sort out bills including medical bills and tuition. For instance, saving money ensures that individuals have adequate financial resources to pay for electricity bills, feeding and healthcare.
Another significant reason is that keeping money for the future can serve as an investment. This means that many young people save their income for a period of time to pursue greener pastures including furthering their education abroad and acquiring assets such as Laptop and mobile devices. To illustrate, many youth nowadays save their money in banks for several years inorder to pay tuituon fees.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that the advantages of individuals keeping money for their future cannot be overstated, as it has a positive impact it their lives. It ensures that people can easily pay essential bills and improve their quality of life. , Additionally, it allows them to further their studies outside their home country, which will ensure they have opportunities and exposure.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on financial stability and investment opportunities. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive; for instance, the points about 'bills' and 'tuition' are mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the long-term societal or personal benefits of saving beyond immediate bill payment, such as the concept of compound interest or economic security during retirement. The response is well-structured, but the depth of analysis could be increased to fully explore the implications of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'One of the major reasons', 'Another significant reason', and 'In conclusion' are used effectively to guide the reader. However, there are some minor issues with punctuation and flow, such as the awkward comma placement in the final paragraph: 'life. , Additionally,'. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother to avoid a list-like feel. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear, and the paragraphing is sufficient for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'financial responsibilities', 'standard of living', and 'greener pastures'. However, there are several spelling errors ('stongly', 'responsiblities', 'tuituon', 'inorder') and some awkward collocations, such as 'meet up with financial responsibilities' (better as 'meet financial obligations'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, the range is somewhat limited, and the errors in spelling and word choice prevent a higher score. Focusing on more precise academic collocations will help improve this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'saving money help' (should be 'helps'), 'cater for their themselves' (redundant pronoun), and 'impact it their lives' (should be 'on their lives'). While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. To improve, you should focus on subject-verb agreement and proofreading for small errors like missing prepositions. The range of structures is acceptable, but more variety in complex sentence forms would be beneficial for a higher band score.
