Student answer (Band 6.5)
it is vital for everyone, including young adults to save money for their future. I stongly agree with this statement, as it helps individuals to meet up with financial responsiblities, emergencies and improve their standard of living.
One of the major reasons why I support this statement is that saving money help members of society to meet up with financial commitments and basic needs of life such as food, clothing and shelter. This ensures that individuals have adequate fund to cater for their themselves and families. Also, in cases of emergencies, it ensures that they can conveniently sort out bills including medical bills and tuition. For instance, saving money ensures that individuals have adequate financial resources to pay for electricity bills, feeding and healthcare.
Another significant reason is that keeping money for the future can serve as an investment. This means that many young people save their income for a period of time to pursue greener pastures including furthering their education abroad and acquiring assets such as Laptop and mobile devices. To illustrate, many youth nowadays save their money in banks for several years inorder to pay tuituon fees.
In conclusion, there is no doubt that the advantages of individuals keeping money for their future cannot be overstated, as it has a positive impact it their lives. It ensures that people can easily pay essential bills and improve their quality of life. , Additionally, it allows them to further their studies outside their home country, which will ensure they have opportunities and exposure.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position in the introduction and maintaining it throughout. The ideas are relevant, focusing on financial security and investment. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive; for instance, the points about 'bills' and 'tuition' are mentioned in both the second and third paragraphs. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the long-term societal or personal benefits of saving beyond immediate bill payments, such as the psychological security or the ability to handle major life transitions, rather than listing similar examples of expenses.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. Cohesive devices such as 'One of the major reasons', 'Another significant reason', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and there are minor punctuation errors, such as the comma splice before 'Additionally' in the final paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring punctuation is precise would enhance the flow and elevate the score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing for clear communication. You use some topic-specific terms like 'financial commitments', 'standard of living', and 'investment'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'meet up with financial responsibilities' (better: 'meet financial obligations') and 'cater for their themselves' (a grammatical error). The range is somewhat limited; using more sophisticated synonyms or idiomatic expressions would help demonstrate a wider lexical range. Spelling errors like 'stongly', 'responsiblities', 'tuituon', and 'inorder' also detract from the overall quality.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent minor errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'saving money help' (subject-verb agreement), 'cater for their themselves' (redundant pronoun), and 'impact it their lives' (preposition/article error). There are also issues with comma usage and sentence fragments. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and proofreading for small slips. While the errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher band score.
