Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, saving has become a subject of intense debate in modern society. Some people believe that it is important for every individual, including adolescents, to save money for their future, while others oppose it by saying youngsters have to enjoy with the money that is in their pocket. I strongly agree with this statement as savings can play indispensable role in securing our future. This essay will discuss how saving can help us to live a better life in our late future.
On the one hand, there are several positive aspects of saving money for future use. First and foremost, nobody in this world knows what will happen tomorrow, maybe we have not enough funds to fulfil our food demands so if we have reserve money at that time it will help us in that difficult time. Moreover, savings also help us in our retirement period and we can enjoy that period of time. A survey conducted by International Monetary Funds (IMF) in year 2025 explained itself that 80 % of happy individuals are those who have savings in their bank account for their older age.
On the other hand, a person who have savings for himself can enjoy the life in better way such as he can go on world tour without any hesitation. Every teenager need to develop the habit of reserving money as it is beneficial for their future, if they only focus on today's needs they maybe can live better life at the movement but they can not able to achieve their goals which they set for their future.
In conclusion, from my perspective money saving habit can be beneficial for each and everyone, including young people as it gives us prosperity in our life and helpful in living a good life as well as acheiving our long term goals.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments are relevant, such as the mention of financial security and retirement, though some points are slightly repetitive. The development is generally adequate, but the supporting evidence, such as the reference to an 'IMF survey in 2025', lacks depth and feels somewhat generic. To reach a higher band, ensure that examples are more logically integrated and that the distinction between saving for immediate needs versus long-term goals is more sharply defined. The conclusion effectively restates the position and summarizes the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better referencing to avoid minor jumps in logic. Overall, the structure is coherent and serves the purpose of the argument well.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the message clearly, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. There are some awkward collocations, such as 'live a better life in our late future' and 'enjoy with the money'. While the student uses some relevant terms like 'indispensable' and 'prosperity', the range is somewhat limited. There are also minor errors in word choice, such as 'at the movement' instead of 'at the moment'. Expanding the range of academic vocabulary and focusing on natural collocations would significantly improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'a person who have savings' (subject-verb agreement), 'they can not able to achieve' (missing auxiliary verb), and 'maybe we have not enough funds' (awkward phrasing). While the meaning is always clear, the control over complex structures is inconsistent. To improve, the student should focus on subject-verb agreement, correct verb forms, and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with greater accuracy.
