Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argued that, save money for future is very much significant for all age groups, including youngers also. I completely agree with this statement because money can helps us to solve the various type of problems.
There are a number of reasons why i believe that money can solve our problem and makes our life cheerful. One main reason it that if citizens save their money for future, that can prevent them in future to compete againest the any danger. For example, when someone age is increase, it also comes with verious type of disease. On that time, people need lots of money to prevent the disease, whereas need more money to solve that type of problem. So restore money for future, that helps senior citizens to face those situations without any ones help. On the other hand, save money for future also helps young people like teenagers to make their lifes easy. Furthermore, most of the young citizens have the ability to work hard, that helps them to earn more money. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of saving money. The ideas are relevant, such as preparing for medical emergencies and supporting family members. However, the development of these points is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding young people saving money is linked to family income, which is a specific cultural perspective but could have been expanded with more general economic reasoning. The conclusion restates the position, but the overall development remains at a basic level, often relying on generalizations rather than nuanced analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One main reason', 'On the other hand', and 'In addition', which help guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'On that time' or 'So restore money for future'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences can be choppy. While the paragraphing is appropriate, the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are frequent errors in word choice and form, such as 'youngers' instead of 'young people', 'against the any danger', and 'restore money' instead of 'saving money'. The student relies on basic vocabulary, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. While the meaning is generally clear, the repetitive nature of the word choices and the persistent errors in collocation limit the score in this criterion.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('money can helps'), article usage ('the any danger'), and incorrect verb forms ('everyone have create'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and apostrophes (e.g., 'families''). While the errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and suggest a lack of control over more complex grammatical forms.
