Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address the prompt by expressing a partial agreement, the arguments are underdeveloped and repetitive. For instance, the points regarding 'bad times' and 'old age' are mentioned but lack sufficient depth or specific, well-explained examples to fully support your position. The conclusion is also very brief and does not effectively summarize your main points. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the progression of ideas is often unclear due to awkward phrasing and limited use of cohesive devices. While you use some transition words like 'To commence with' and 'Additionally', they are sometimes used incorrectly or mechanically. The referencing is occasionally confusing, such as in the sentence 'Not only, the younger people know the value of money but also the people can spend their saved money', where the connection between ideas is weak. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You rely on basic terms like 'bad time', 'difficult', and 'people'. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'many parent who tell there children' (should be 'parents' and 'their') and 'get alot of difficult' (should be 'face many difficulties'). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to finance and personal development, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling to ensure your writing is more professional and accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('it help' instead of 'it helps'), incorrect pluralization ('many parent'), and misuse of articles and pronouns ('in their land or other project'). Your sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'they can invest in health care as well as the can also become weak'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and consistent use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
