Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention reasons such as healthcare and education, these points are listed rather than explored in depth. The arguments lack specific examples or logical expansion, resulting in a somewhat repetitive structure. To reach a higher band, you should focus on fully developing each point with clear explanations and illustrative examples. The conclusion is brief and does not summarize the main points effectively, which limits the overall impact of your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the general flow. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often mechanical. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or awkward, such as the abrupt shift in the second paragraph. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical progression of ideas is hindered by repetitive phrasing. To improve, you should use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to connect your ideas more smoothly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and often repetitive. You rely on simple terms like 'money', 'future', and 'life' throughout the text. There are also instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'normal people living a society' instead of 'people living in a society' and 'lugurious' (likely intended as 'luxurious'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to finance and personal management, and focus on using words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'youngster believe'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper punctuation, making them difficult to parse. While you attempt some complex ideas, the lack of control over basic grammar prevents these from being expressed clearly. To improve, focus on mastering simple sentence structures first, ensuring correct subject-verb agreement and punctuation, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
