Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's world, it is widely believed that saving money for the future is crucial even for the young ones. I strongly agree with this point of view and I think that saving should be considered a healthy habit as it can be very helpful for the future.
First of all, humans do not have the ability to know their future. All they can do is to get themselves prepared for every kind of situation so that if some mishap occurs in their future, their savings should assist them coping with the hurdle. There are number of examples where savings helped individuals in their tough times. Let us take an example of Covid-19 era. Every business was shut down for a significant amount of time where people were staying at their homes and thousands lost their jobs as well. Poeple were surviving on their savings and those those who had nothing were living in typical misery. This was a time when savings would be very beneficial for everyone and we should always keep ourselves ready for these kind of crucial moments.
Additionaly, savings build a sense of responsibility in the younger people. They should do savings with a mindset that it should help them build a career in their future. Similarly, if someone wants to do a business, saving is a healthy activity and it would help them building a business as well.
In conclusion, I believe that saving money is always helpful for everyone at any part of their life. Moreover, people should always consider saving some of their money instead of spending everything and leaving no security for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, particularly the example of the Covid-19 pandemic, which effectively illustrates the importance of financial security. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about young people building a career or business through savings is mentioned but not fully explored or supported with specific detail. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your arguments with more depth and nuance, ensuring that every point made is thoroughly explained rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Each paragraph has a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Additionaly', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, there are some minor issues with cohesion; for example, the transition between the idea of 'responsibility' and 'building a business' in the second body paragraph is slightly abrupt. Additionally, there are some mechanical errors in referencing, such as 'those those who had nothing', which slightly disrupts the flow. Overall, the progression of ideas is clear and easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'mishap' and 'misery', which are used appropriately. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are occasional errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'do savings' instead of 'save money' or 'make savings'. The repetition of the word 'savings' throughout the text also suggests a need for a wider range of synonyms to improve the sophistication of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'There are number of examples' (missing article), 'these kind of crucial moments' (should be 'these kinds'), and 'help them building' (should be 'help them build'). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and ensuring that verb patterns following 'help' are used correctly.
