Student answer (Band 6.0)
Money is very important in the life. But, saving this money is very crucial for our further life. I strongly believe saving money is beneficial to everyone not only kids.
Nowadays, children and youth are spending unnecessarily on unwanted things. New generation kids never think of the future plannings or hurdles which we face. In additionally they think parents thinking too much about giving money to their kids whenever they ask. But, i personally think these youngstars have no idea of saving money they always tend to waste money by putting in the betting apps, buying expensive clothes, parties, bikes and many more. For an instance, my cousin use to save money whenever my grandparents gives and do part-time job to save few money so that he can use on the tution fees in preparing in government exams as he do not want to be burden for his parents.
Moreover, i saw many parents also spend money on their kids birthdays and giving them valuable things and letting them enjoy everything. Especially this money saving thing will be useful in the middleclass family for building house, daughter marriage and sending kids to foreign for studies. By doing all these things inturn allow their kids not know the importance of money and saving of it. I strictly think parent should teach their kids about value of things, money and values. Parents should tell childrens in their young age about money and future saving and show them real life examples about saving money which is further used in the life.
In conclusion, i think parents should open saving accounts to their kids and asking them to save money from their young age.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of saving money. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of betting apps and the role of parents in financial education. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The second paragraph introduces several distinct points—youth spending habits, parental indulgence, and the importance of financial literacy—without fully exploring any of them. The example of the cousin is a good start, but the connection between the cousin's experience and the broader argument about 'everyone' saving money could be more explicitly linked. To improve, focus on developing one or two main arguments per paragraph with more depth rather than listing multiple observations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices, such as 'Nowadays,' 'Moreover,' and 'In conclusion.' However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as 'In additionally' (should be 'In addition') and 'For an instance' (should be 'For instance'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the transition between the cousin's example and the general discussion of parents is abrupt. The flow of ideas is generally easy to follow, but the paragraphing could be improved by ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports the thesis.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'money' and 'saving.' While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary ('financial literacy' would be a good addition here), the current word choices are often simple or slightly unnatural, such as 'further life' instead of 'future' or 'youngstars' instead of 'young people.' There are also minor errors in word formation, such as 'tution' (spelling) and 'childrens' (pluralization). To reach a higher band, the student should focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding informal or non-standard terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('my cousin use to save,' 'grandparents gives,' 'he do not want'), article misuse ('in the life'), and awkward phrasing ('this money saving thing'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some errors in sentence boundaries. While the meaning is always clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
