Student answer (Band 5.5)
There exists a conflicting point that is it important for everyone, includiong people from every age, to save money for their elder ages. Some people may agree or disagree with them based on their personal thoughts and opinions.
In todays world, most of the people are going to gathering huge amount of money to save their future and few of them are spending their lives by enjoying their money in living expenses. On the other hand most of the persons are just collecting amounts and not spending on their lives.
Based on my opinion i agree on this to save a small amount for your future not too much that will not destroy your current life. People enjoying their money are much happier than those who are saving it. For example, if a person die just collecting their money and not enjoying it that will inherited to their children and widow and his collected amount is not being used by this person.
Another example is that a person can go through some crises as well if the person is wasting his/her money it is also a huge disaster that when some crises came into their life he does not have any kind of collectings to survive.
In conclusion, i would suggest that people should use their income for their living purposes as well as saving because no one knows that what would be the situation in future. If a person uses this strategy that maybe beneficial for his entire life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of saving money versus enjoying life. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. The arguments regarding the balance between saving and spending are repetitive, and the examples provided—such as the person dying without using their money—are slightly underdeveloped. While a clear position is established in the introduction and conclusion, the supporting points lack the depth required for a higher band. The essay covers all parts of the task, but the reasoning could be more nuanced to fully explore the implications of the statement for young people specifically, as mentioned in the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'For example' and 'Another example'. The transition between ideas is sometimes abrupt, and the logical progression within paragraphs is hindered by simplistic sentence structures. While the overall arrangement is coherent, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional awkward phrasing make the flow feel somewhat disjointed. Referencing is generally clear, but the essay would benefit from a wider variety of cohesive markers to improve the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'huge amount of money', 'collecting amounts', and 'living purposes' are used, which lack precision and variety. There are some errors in word choice, such as 'collectings' (which is not standard English) and 'inherited to their children' (which should be 'inherited by'). The range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, you should focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of synonyms to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'There exists a conflicting point that is it important', 'most of the persons are just collecting', and 'if a person die'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and the capitalization of 'i'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing. A greater focus on subject-verb agreement and sentence construction is necessary to reach a higher band.
