Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the contemporary era, money is essential part of each and every person. On that note, it is significant for everybody to save money for future including youngsters. I agree with this notion without any qualms and the reasons for the same have been discussed further.

There are numerous reasons justifying my opinion. Firstly, save money is very essential because we do not gaurantee about life what problem occur so if we have savings then it is useful for in problematic situation. In India people says that saving is big brother in worse situation. Secondly, if youngsters have savings then they can use these for their higher studies and for their personal expenses. For example, if youngster have a savings then it will be beneficial for them in future.

Moreover, saving very important for each and every people because during medical emergencies it is useful for the critical operation cost. Furthermore, nowadays youngsters like to live alone and independently and need freedom so in this situation save money is essential because they have to manage all expense without taking any cost from parents. For example, if person have enough money saving in form of fix deposit or in bank account then they can fulfill their dreams because some dreams needs too much money. Thus, these are the reasons why people need to save money for their future.

To conclude, even though saving money for future is sometime meaning less because life have no garantee so if people have enough saving but they cannot use because of their physical fitness, I still believe that saving money for future is beneficial like, helpful in medical emergency, for youngster higher studies.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas, such as financial security during emergencies and the benefits of independence for young people, are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument about 'higher studies' is mentioned twice without providing specific details or a more nuanced exploration. While the position is clear, the supporting points could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The conclusion introduces a slight contradiction regarding the value of saving, which slightly weakens the overall coherence of the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude', but they are often used in a mechanical or repetitive way. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'if youngster have a savings then it will be beneficial for them in future', where the connection to the previous point is weak. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow of ideas within paragraphs could be improved to ensure a smoother progression of thought.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks range and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'do not gaurantee about life' and 'taking any cost from parents'. Spelling errors are frequent, including 'gaurantee' and 'sometime'. The range of vocabulary is limited to basic terms, and there is little attempt to use less common or more sophisticated lexical items. To improve, you should focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct spelling of key terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'if person have enough money saving' and 'some dreams needs too much money'. Subject-verb agreement is a recurring issue, as seen in 'saving is very important for each and every people'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. The frequency of these errors is noticeable and occasionally makes the reader work harder to understand the intended meaning, which is characteristic of a Band 5.5 performance.
