Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed the prompt and maintained a clear position throughout the essay. You provided relevant reasons for your agreement, such as financial security during emergencies and the ability to purchase long-term assets. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the link between saving money and avoiding junk food is not clearly explained, making the argument feel slightly disjointed. To improve, ensure that each supporting point is fully expanded with logical explanations rather than just listing examples. The essay covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis remains at a basic level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the transition between the idea of saving money and the paragraph regarding healthy eating is abrupt and lacks a strong logical connection. Improving the use of cohesive devices to create smoother transitions between sentences and paragraphs would enhance the overall readability.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'budgeting', 'emergency situation', and 'basic needs'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is a tendency to repeat basic words like 'money' and 'things'. There are also some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'make mature that when and where to use money', which sounds unnatural. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations to express your ideas with greater sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'youngster waste their money'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'if they consuming money carefully'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly verb tenses and pluralization, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for small errors like 'they not saving' instead of 'they do not save' will significantly improve your accuracy.
