Student answer (Band 5.5)

I partially agree with the above statement as ot said,it is inportant dor everyone including young people to save money for their future. Some young people donot have enough resources to save for themselves but to eat only today’s food. While some people earn in plenty,They should save for their future.

If young people can earn enough they should save some money for their financial security because if they get fired from their jobs or suffer from financial issues in future, the savings would be useful then. Moreover,if they save money for future they will be saved from debt which can cause inconvinience in so many ways.If they start saving money from young age, they would learn habits of budgeting and financial discipline.

While on the other hand,If the young people would be focused on saving money for future only they could not enjoy thier life properly. In my opinion young people should spend on their hobbies too.If someone has enough resources ,they should spend some of their money on travellling because it expands our thinking And relaxes our mind from hectic routine.

If the money is saved in form of cash, the value of money can be decreased with ongoing time.

Young people should spend reasonable time of their money on savings while enjoy thier lives with their current earnings

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of saving versus the need for current enjoyment. However, the essay is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which severely limits the development of ideas. While the position is clear, the arguments are somewhat superficial. For example, the point about inflation is mentioned but not fully explained or linked back to the overall argument. Because the response is under-length, the depth of analysis is restricted, preventing a higher score. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed examples and explanations to meet the word count requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally repetitive. For instance, the transition 'While on the other hand' is slightly awkward. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary complexity to reach a higher band. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'inconvinience', 'travellling', and 'thier', which detract from the professional tone. The word choices are generally simple and functional. To achieve a higher score, you should aim to use more sophisticated vocabulary and collocations related to finance and personal development. For example, instead of 'earn in plenty', you could use 'possess significant disposable income'. Focusing on accurate spelling and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary will be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include missing articles, incorrect verb forms, and punctuation errors, such as 'as ot said,it is inportant'. Some sentences are run-on or lack proper clause structure, which occasionally makes the meaning slightly difficult to follow. While the reader can understand your main points, the frequency of errors is high. You should focus on proofreading your work to correct basic subject-verb agreement and punctuation issues, and practice constructing more complex sentences with greater accuracy.
