To begin with, having a practice to save money for the future is consider as a good habit of people. People use different strategies for saving their income. For instance, many people save their money in banks in the form of fix deposite, while some invest their income in property or in gold. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The essay addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position on the importance of saving money. However, the response is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the main ideas—emergency funds and financial planning—are relevant, they are somewhat repetitive and lack detailed supporting examples. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific examples or hypothetical scenarios to ensure the response is sufficiently developed and meets the length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic attempt at using cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'However', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of cohesive devices is limited. Some transitions feel abrupt, and the internal structure of paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to show relationships between ideas more clearly. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the overall structure lacks the sophistication required for higher bands.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic and repetitive. You use words like 'important', 'saving', and 'money' frequently. There are also some errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'essntial', 'fix deposite', 'planes' (instead of plans), and 'thins' (instead of this). To improve, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common collocations and synonyms, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms to ensure precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'human's life' (should be 'human life'), 'all age people' (should be 'people of all ages'), and 'being helpfull habit' (should be 'is a helpful habit'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are also inconsistent. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on sentence variety and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will help improve your score.
