Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention the importance of saving for emergencies and basic needs, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. The example provided about a friend's accident is somewhat confusingly narrated and does not effectively illustrate the broader economic argument for saving. To improve, you should aim to provide more sophisticated reasons, such as the benefits of long-term financial security, investment opportunities, or the psychological peace of mind that savings provide, rather than focusing primarily on basic survival.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions like 'To commence with' and 'Furthermore' are used, but the internal structure of the sentences often makes the progression of ideas difficult to follow. For instance, the transition between the general need for money and the personal anecdote about the accident is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one will significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely heavily on simple terms like 'money', 'important', and 'future'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'existance', 'curtical', 'excident', and 'unpridected', which distract the reader. While you attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, the range is limited and does not demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning synonyms and collocations related to finance, such as 'financial stability', 'emergency fund', or 'long-term investment', and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Every human being... have', 'one of friend was'), incorrect article usage, and run-on sentences. The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. When complex structures are attempted, they often contain errors, such as 'Because no one knows what will happen in future and it is unpredictable thing'. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on mastering basic sentence construction, punctuation, and ensuring consistent subject-verb agreement throughout your work.
