Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the contemporary world, there has been an intense debate regarding saving money. A growing number of individuals contend that youngsters should save fund for their later life, while others argue that they do not save money. From my perspective, I firmly believe with the former view. This essay will examine valid reasons along with appropriate examples in the following paragraphs.
One of the most primary reasons that support my view is that it can be beneficial for them in emergency situations. This is mainly because future is unpredictable in the modern time and they may be unaware about the future situations. For instance, if any pandemic situation occurs such as corona virus then saved money can be facilitated to survive and afford the medical bills as well as hospital charges. Consequently, having sufficient savings can provide them financial security in such kind of situations.
Another compelling factor is that saving money can be helpful to secure their future life and afford the families essential needs as well as their expenses. To illustrate, saving money can be helpful for youngsters to afford their future children’s expenditure such as education and healthcare expenses. As a result, it is very crucial to save money for long-term.
However, some opponents of latter view argue that it can restrict young individuals to spend money on their personal fulfilment since they prefer save money for future. Nevertheless, it is essential for them to save money for future.
In conclusion, although saving money can prohibit to invest money on their personal needs, I believe that it is significant for everyone to conserve funds for their future. Not only does it facilitate them in emergency situations, but also it is beneficial for them to secure their later life as well as provide financial safety for future unpredictable situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt clearly and maintains a consistent position throughout. You have identified two main reasons for saving money—emergency preparedness and long-term financial security—and supported them with relevant examples, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and future family expenses. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed. However, the development could be further enhanced by exploring the counter-argument in more depth; the current rebuttal is somewhat brief. To reach a higher band, ensure that all parts of the prompt are explored with equal weight and that the conclusion synthesizes the main points more effectively rather than just repeating them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'One of the most primary reasons,' 'Another compelling factor,' and 'However' to guide the reader through your argument. While the progression is generally clear, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally imprecise, such as in the phrase 'opponents of latter view,' which lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns and references clearly point to the intended ideas will help improve the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary world,' 'unpredictable,' and 'financial security.' However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation that prevent a higher score. For example, 'save fund' should be 'save funds' or 'save money,' and 'prohibit to invest' is an incorrect collocation; 'prevent them from investing' would be more natural. Some phrasing is slightly awkward, such as 'in such kind of situations.' To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully employ some complex forms, there are recurring grammatical errors that affect the accuracy of your writing. Examples include 'they do not save money' (which should be 'they should not save money' to match the context), 'future is unpredictable in the modern time' (missing articles), and 'if any pandemic situation occurs such as corona virus' (punctuation and capitalization errors). While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement, article usage, and consistent verb tense control.
