Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern era, there is a huge debate in ongoing on that people think that it is important for everyone, including young people, to save money for their future.

I would like to agree with this type of mindset. In the further paragraphs, I'll discuss why it is important and what will be effects of this mindset.

First of all, everyone should save money for their further life. People who did't save money in the past for thier future, now they are struggling from the huge problems in their lives. Therefore, every person in the society should be carefull with the money to save their coming life.

Second of all, young people should specially save thier money, because now they have enough resources and their families are supporting them. If they waste money at that time, then they will face the lot of problems in their future life.

On the other hand, if they save some resources they will get success in the future because they will make a little buisness from their savings and and they will be able to survive in the society.

According to my own observations and experiences in life, I will suggest that saving money means you are saving your future. Because, when I was younger, I were worried for my future, then I decided that I will save money to make my bright future and successful. And now, I have my own buisness which is established just on the bases of my savings.

In a nutshell, I will highly appriciate the people who think that people should save money, including young people.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position in favor of saving money. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. While you mention that young people have resources and should save to avoid future problems, the arguments remain at a surface level. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' with more specific examples or nuanced reasoning. For instance, you could discuss the impact of inflation or the benefits of compound interest for young investors. The conclusion is a bit brief and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'Second of all', and 'In a nutshell'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing. Some transitions feel forced, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'if they save some resources they will get success'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea would enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate to express your ideas, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic words like 'money', 'future', and 'problems'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'thier', 'buisness', 'carefull', and 'appriciate', which detract from the professional tone of the essay. To improve, you should aim to incorporate more precise vocabulary related to finance and personal development, and pay closer attention to spelling accuracy. Using synonyms and more sophisticated collocations would demonstrate a wider range of lexical resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While you attempt some complex sentences, they often contain grammatical errors, such as 'when I was younger, I were worried' (subject-verb agreement) and 'struggling from the huge problems' (incorrect preposition). There are also issues with article usage and tense consistency. The frequent errors in basic grammar, such as 'did't' and 'thier', indicate a need for more careful proofreading. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on mastering complex sentence structures and ensuring that your basic grammar, particularly subject-verb agreement and verb tenses, is consistently accurate.
