Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly taking a position agreeing that everyone, including young people, should save money. The candidate attempts to develop ideas related to future difficulties like healthcare and education, as well as the desires of youngsters for modern technology and comfortable lives. However, the development remains somewhat limited and repetitive. Points are stated rather than fully extended, and examples such as buying smartphones or laptops feel a bit superficial. While all parts of the task are addressed, the overall depth of argumentation aligns best with Band 5 or 6, but given the clear position and relevant ideas, it meets the standard for Band 5.5 by addressing the task adequately despite underdeveloped arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organized into paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is hindered by frequent punctuation and capitalization issues that disrupt the flow. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often awkward or repetitive, such as 'To begin with, To save money...' and 'Moving towards, saving is also important...'. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentences often stand as isolated fragments, such as 'For example, Firstly, if a person were suffering from a serious illness. so, they have to need of some money...'. These features reflect a mechanical use of cohesion and referencing, placing the response firmly at Band 5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The lexical resource is limited and adequate only for basic communication. The writer uses repetitive vocabulary such as 'save money', 'future', and 'important' multiple times across short sentences. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations, such as 'It is true fact that', 'children are run towards the facilities', and 'money is always a backbone of a human beings'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary like 'circumstances' and 'technologically developed', inaccuracies in word choice and formation cause some difficulty for the reader, which aligns with the Band 5 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar, punctuation, and sentence boundaries. For example, sentences are improperly split with periods or commas before conjunctions ('...in their future . Like Difficulties of healthcare...', '...serious illness. so, they have to need...'). Errors such as subject-verb agreement issues ('a student have a need', 'they needs the new technology') and incorrect auxiliary verb usage ('they have to need of saving') occur frequently. These errors cause considerable strain for the reader, characteristic of a Band 5 performance.
