Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the prompt by discussing the importance of saving money for the future, presenting arguments both for and against the statement. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, with over-reliance on basic examples such as buying a house or paying bills. The writer adopts a clear stance in places, but the overall structure of the argument is hindered by meta-language ('In this essay we explain...', 'We disscus that why i was agree with this') rather than direct argumentation. While all parts of the task are partially addressed, the depth of explanation remains restricted, aligning the response with a Band 5 descriptor.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The text is divided into four paragraphs, which shows an awareness of structural organization, including an introduction, body paragraphs addressing both sides of the argument, and a brief conclusion. However, progression is frequently disrupted by awkward referencing and mechanical cohesive devices, such as the repetitive use of 'Therefore', 'Because', and 'In this paragraph we also disscus'. Furthermore, paragraphing is unconventional, as the final paragraph introduces opposing views and personal circumstances in a somewhat disjointed manner. Cohesive ties are often inaccurate or inadequate, which impacts the overall logical flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, featuring frequent reliance on common terms like 'money', 'better life', 'future', and 'important'. There are notable attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'instalments', 'property', and 'expenses', but these are accompanied by frequent word-choice and spelling errors ('eplain', 'ahouse', 'childrens', 'sale' instead of 'sell', 'asved', 'disscus', 'groweary', 'feeses'). These lexical limitations and errors occasionally cause strain for the reader, although basic communication is generally maintained.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to ungrammatical constructions such as 'Because if we were ill so these money is used...' and 'If you know that this is not possible that yu save money...'. Errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and articles are frequent throughout the response ('these money', 'a house for you parents and wife', 'when we are aged person'). These persistent errors can cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the criteria for Band 4.5.
