Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that young shouldn't save money while on the other hand some people think that it is significant for everyone to save some amount of money including young people. But, I believe that to save some money for future can provide a better resistance for worst scenarios.

Initially, in case of worst cases i believe that saving some amount can add a vast amount of confidence to deal with it. This is the best part of saving money for future use because whenever a problem would overcome a person, it should shield him/her like a powerful barrier. For instance, a student does not have money to buy important notes, now what he'll do. In this case his saving would defend him like a sword.

In contrast, I think that very young people should not save money because in this period of age everyone has a limited amount of resources to spend and if they would save it what in the world would they spend on something. Inshort, if a fresher does not save money for future in this very young age I think that it is fine. For example, if a child saves money throughout his whole period of joy his life would loose it's levish and taste. Resulting in a very odd childish life. It would have effects on a children's psychology.

In conclusion, I would say that saving money for future use is a very good idealogy for most of the people. But, in case of young people it isn't a good approach to think of.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on whether young people should save money, though the arguments are somewhat contradictory and under-developed. The introduction states a personal belief in saving for worst scenarios, and the second paragraph provides some support using an example of a student buying important notes. However, the third paragraph shifts to argue that very young people should not save money because it ruins their life's 'levish and taste', which feels slightly repetitive and lacks strong academic depth. While the position is clear, the arguments lack rigorous extension and tend to over-generalise. Therefore, this performance fits the Band 6 descriptor where all parts are addressed with relevant ideas, but some remain under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organised into clear paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Logical organisation is attempted through cohesive devices such as 'Initially', 'In contrast', and 'In conclusion'. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by awkward transitions and mechanical phrasing, such as 'In case of worst cases i believe' and 'if they would save it what in the world would they spend on something'. Referencing and substitution are occasionally faulty, leading to minor disruptions in flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different facets of the argument, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptor for overall coherent arrangement despite mechanical cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'powerful barrier', 'worst scenarios', and 'childish life'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text, including 'worst cases i believe', 'a problem would overcome a person', 'loose it's levish and taste' (instead of lavish), and 'idealogy' (instead of ideology). Spelling and morphological errors are present ('Inshort', 'loose' for 'lose', 'childrens' instead of 'children's'). These errors do not seriously impede communication, making this performance representative of Band 5.5 to 6.0, settling safely at Band 6.0 due to adequate task coverage.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional structures ('if a student does not have money...') and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors with articles, prepositions, and punctuation, such as 'young shouldn't save money', 'in this period of age', 'if they would save it what in the world would they spend on something', and run-on sentences like 'now what he'll do'. Despite these errors, meaning is generally conveyed without major breakdown. The presence of both correct complex structures and persistent errors places this writing firmly at Band 5.5.
