Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this modern era, it is crucial for everyone to save their money for future. I agree with this notion because It just not help us to meet the future goals but also help ouerself to deal with unexpected emergencies. Furthermore, it also provide us opportunity to help the needy peoples in our society like friends, family members and also poor people.

The primary reason is that saved money help a lot in the future goals especially for the students who are studying on full funded scholarship and getting their stipend every month. They can reserve some portion of money from their stipend for future plans. For example a student is studying in higher education and getting stipend from the government. He will save some money from his stipend to spend on the documentations and degree attestation after graduation so he can not see financial literacy for verifications. Morever, he can also utilize it for applying jobs and finding opportunities in the coming days.

Furthermore, young people just not save money for unexpected emergencies but can also spend on their family members and friends who have to much need of money in the emergency situation. For instance when i was living in the hostel my roommate cusion get ill. Before shifting it into hospital my friend told me that he do not have enough money yet and my family is unable to send money on that time because due to night all the shops are closed. When i heard that i gave him my savings which i was saved from my pocket money and shift patient into hospital. After recovery of illed person, he gave that money back to me and also says thank to me.

In conclusion, saved money help a lot in the future just not to meet the study requirements or spendings on essential ocasions but also gave us opportunity to help our friends and family members when they have to much need of finance. So i think that young generation should reserve some cash from their pocket money to meet the emergencies, future plans and also can utilize for help to other persons.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task, taking a clear position that saving money is important for both future goals and emergencies. The ideas are supported with relevant examples, such as a student utilizing a stipend for documentations and degree attestation, and a personal anecdote about helping a roommate. However, some arguments and examples tend to over-generalize or become overly narrative rather than analytical, which is characteristic of Band 6. The main points are present and explored, but further extension and conceptual depth would be needed to reach a higher band level.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphing is utilized, and the response is divided into logical body paragraphs. However, cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical. The student relies on repetitive cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore' and 'In conclusion,' and referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'shift patient into hospital' without clear articles). While the logical progression is generally understandable, the execution of cohesive ties and paragraph transitions lacks flexibility, fitting the Band 6 descriptor well.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common items such as 'unexpected emergencies,' 'financial literacy,' and 'degree attestation.' However, there are notable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'saved money help a lot,' 'full funded scholarship,' 'needly peoples,' and 'elled person.' Spelling errors like 'Morever,' 'cusion,' and 'ocasions' also appear. While communication is not severely impeded, these frequent inaccuracies place the lexical performance firmly at Band 5.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some command of subordinate clauses (e.g., 'especially for the students who are studying...'). However, frequent grammatical errors occur across the text, including missing articles ('shift patient into hospital'), subject-verb agreement issues ('saved money help'), tense inconsistencies ('which I was saved'), and awkward phrasing ('so he can not see financial literacy'). These errors can cause occasional difficulty for the reader, aligning the grammar score with Band 5.0 descriptors.
