It can help in difficult situations and people can eassily face this type of financial issues. For example, according to some surveys, about 40% of employees do not have any savings, which makes them have to lend or sell their propertise to handle. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt by taking a clear position ('I completely agree with this statement') and supporting it with relevant arguments throughout the essay. The student explores multiple facets of the issue, including emergency buffers, independence, budgeting, and long-term goals. For instance, the mention of statistical context regarding employees without savings adds relevant support, and the division of ideas across paragraphs is logical. However, some ideas could be extended further rather than listed briefly, which places the response securely in the Band 6 or 7 range. The position is maintained consistently from the introduction through the body paragraphs and into the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is coherent overall with a recognisable logical structure. The writer uses basic cohesive devices to connect ideas, such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude'. Paragraphing is utilised to separate distinct points, such as the benefits of emergency funds versus long-term goals. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or repetitive, particularly in the conclusion where phrases like 'Not only because' are misused and disrupt the natural flow. Referencing is generally clear, but transitional links between sentences can feel abrupt at times, reflecting Band 6 performance descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student displays an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'emergency buffer', 'exponentially', and 'restraining yourself'. However, there are notable word-choice and morphological errors throughout the text, such as 'save money' instead of 'saving money', 'independende' for 'independence', 'compund interests' for 'compound interest', and 'propertise' for 'properties'. While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the lexical score from reaching Band 7. Spelling and collocation errors occur with enough frequency to warrant a Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating relative clauses and conditional structures. There are, however, frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding verb forms and preposition use, such as 'savings help people for emergency buffer' and 'helps to young people for become independent'. Punctuation and word-formation issues are also present, including awkward phrasing in the final paragraph. Although the meaning remains generally clear and the errors rarely impede communication, the density of grammatical slips keeps the score at Band 5.5.
