Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position agreeing that everyone, including young people, should save money for the future. Ideas are generally relevant, such as discussing basic life necessities, education, and the pitfalls of spending everything in the present. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and vague in places, which aligns with Band 6. For example, phrases like 'money is one of the most neccessary tool in every human being life' introduce broad points that are not fully extended with specific real-world examples, relying instead on general assertions. Nevertheless, all parts of the task are addressed and a clear overarching position is maintained throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognisable introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is attempted, though some paragraphs mix multiple ideas. Cohesive devices are used, but their application is at times mechanical or faulty, such as 'To began with' and 'In conclution'. Referencing is also slightly unclear in sentences like 'And another significant factors is we are able to go to college or school by the saving of our own parents,' where pronouns and linking elements disrupt the logical flow. Progression is present, but it lacks the smooth, flexible transitions characteristic of higher band levels.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic arguments about financial planning. There are several attempts to use less common items, such as 'culminates', 'perseptive', and 'significant factors', but these are accompanied by noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, including 'neccessary', 'purchasin', 'meaningfull', and 'conclution'. Furthermore, phrasing like 'exploit the money in better way' demonstrates weak collocation. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.0 due to frequent inaccuracies.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over basic structures. However, frequent grammatical errors occur across the text, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Some group of people believed'), article misuse ('in every human being life'), and preposition errors ('from my point if view'). Complex sentence attempts often contain structural flaws, such as 'there are some portion of public who believed that money should not be save for future and use it in the present.' These errors frequently cause strain for the reader, placing the grammar performance firmly within the Band 5 descriptor.
