Saving money is not just important for a particular group of people but for all. This essay will be embedded with not just how imperative it is to save for the future but also with practical experience to back up my claims.

Saving up money could be less important to some persons. They think that saving up money should be for a group that have enormous responsibilities like family heads who are definitely going to encounter challenges in the future and that young people who fend for themselves alone should not see saving money for the future as a necessity but rather they should invest in themselves which i see as half truth.

Saving up money for the future does not just aid us navigate future hurdles with ease but also give anyone in any category peace of mind and a sense of financial security which is one of life's ultimate gift. In conclusion, I would say, saving money is likened to how one makes his/her bed and as one makes it, so will he or she lay on it so save Irrespective of age.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether everyone, including young people, should save money. A clear position is taken, agreeing with the statement, and supported with a personal example about a scholarship application. However, some ideas are slightly repetitive or underdeveloped, such as the concession regarding young people investing in themselves, which is dismissed rather than fully explored. The conclusion is also somewhat brief and aphoristic. Overall, the essay meets the requirements of Band 6 by addressing all parts of the task with relevant ideas, though the depth of extension places it at this level rather than a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Paragraphing is used, though some paragraphs are quite long and dense, such as the third paragraph which combines multiple ideas about psychological benefits, discipline, and life challenges. Cohesive devices are employed, but some referencing is occasionally imprecise, and transitions feel mechanical in places (e.g., 'This essay will be embedded with...' and 'In conclusion, I would say...'). Nevertheless, the progression of ideas is generally logical and easy to follow, making Band 6 the most accurate descriptor.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student attempts a range of vocabulary with some less common items such as 'imperative', 'inculcate', 'invaluable', and 'vicissitudes' (spelled 'vescisitude'). While there is an adequate range for the task, there are noticeable word choice and collocation issues, such as 'This essay will be embedded with' and 'could fund for the application'. Spelling errors like 'accross' and 'vescisitude' occur, but they do not impede communication. The use of vocabulary shows an attempt at style, balancing simpler everyday language with ambitious terms, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptor.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms throughout the essay. There are examples of subordination and relative clauses (e.g., 'which I see as half truth' and 'that could have just gone down the drain'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation slips, such as comma splices, lowercase 'i' pronouns ('i saw', 'i remembered'), and agreement issues ('a group that have enormous responsibilities'). These errors occasionally cause minor readability hurdles, but they rarely impede overall communication. This mix of successful complex structures alongside persistent errors reflects Band 6 performance.
