Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the prompt regarding whether everyone should save money, but the stance is somewhat confusingly argued and remains under-developed. Furthermore, the length requirement has not been met, as the essay contains only 179 words against the 250-word minimum, cutting short the development of ideas. While the writer touches on living costs and financial stability, the arguments lack extension and evidence. Consequently, the task response is limited. Band score: 4.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The essay is poorly paragraphed and lacks clear overall progression. The introduction is disjointed, featuring punctuation errors like 'expenses .so'. Cohesive devices are used minimally and repetitively (e.g., 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', 'additionally'), and the final sentence trails off without completion ('additionally another fact is'). Paragraphing is insufficient and abruptly ends mid-thought. While some logical links are attempted, the overall arrangement is faulty. Band score: 4.5.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with numerous spelling and word choice errors throughout the text (e.g., 'furter' for future, 'relevant' for relevant, 'finicical satable' for financially stable, 'thera' for their). Less common lexical items are attempted but are consistently inaccurate or incorrectly collated. These lexical inadequacies frequently strain the reader's understanding. Band score: 4.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

Grammatical control is weak, with a very limited range of structures successfully produced. Attempts at complex sentences are faulty and lead to frequent errors, such as 'mostly people dont have thera sutable jobs' and 'So its not able to manage everything in in less salary.' Punctuation and capitalization are frequently mishandled, and sentence boundaries are often blurred. Errors cause considerable difficulty for the reader. Band score: 4.5.
