Student answer (Band 5.5)
Saving money for the future contains several aspects and it varies from person to person. I've noticed different point-of-views among people. In my opinion, saving money is important for everyone, including young people and I'll explain it with references.
The first reason to save money is to achieve their desired goals in life. Let's say, if a person is too much ambitious and he know that he is going to upgrade his life and his standards, in this case, the person should save money to invest somewhere or to buy a house or a car. But this case is different for the elder ones because they don't have to save money for fulfilling their ambitions. But they can also save money for their health issues etc.
The second reason to save money is to get yourself prepared for the sudden accidents that can be happen in life. For instance, if a person's house is burnt, so in this case, as a responsible person, he have to accomodate his family and fulfill their needs. He should be the one for taking care of everyone. So for this kind of unfortunate bad times, he should have some money to relay upon. The elder people also have to save money for this situation. They also have to be ready for this.
In conclusion, saving money is important for everyone, whether it is young or old, happy or sad. An individual, who is a responsible, should save money for his future, whether it is for good will or bad time. I highly agree with the statement that people should save money.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of saving money for young people and others, taking a clear overall position in agreement. Ideas are introduced, such as achieving goals and preparing for unexpected events, but they tend to be somewhat under-developed and general. For example, the distinction made between young people and elder ones is slightly vague and repetitive. While the writer covers the main parts of the task, the support and extension of arguments lack depth. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and basic paragraphing is used. However, cohesion at the sentence level is often mechanical or faulty. Phrases like 'The first reason to save money is...' and 'The second reason to save money is...' structure the text explicitly, but referencing and logical progression are occasionally awkward, such as 'if a person is too much ambitious and he know that...' and 'sudden accidents that can be happen in life.' Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion needs smoother transitions and more accurate referencing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The lexical range is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic ideas about financial savings. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'accommodate', 'ambitious', and 'unfortunate bad times', but these are accompanied by word choice and collocation errors, such as 'too much ambitious' instead of 'very ambitious', and 'relay upon' instead of 'rely upon'. Spelling is generally acceptable, but vocabulary limitations and inaccuracies restrict the score to a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over complex structures is inconsistent. There are several noticeable grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('he know that', 'he have to', 'accidents that can be happen'), incorrect verb forms, and preposition misuse. Although these errors do not completely impede communication, their frequency prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but frequent minor grammatical inaccuracies place this at Band 5.0.
