Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of saving money for young people, but it suffers from significant under-length, containing only 174 words against the 250-word minimum. This severely limits the development of ideas. While the writer attempts an introduction and touches upon the benefits of saving, the third paragraph abruptly shifts to counter-arguments about enjoying life without properly integrating them into a cohesive stance. Furthermore, the introduction contains confusing template phrases such as 'I shed some light on both view with extend for which vindication would elaborated'. Due to the severe length penalty and underdeveloped ideas, this response falls into the Band 5 category.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the overall structure is weak and disjointed. The introduction fails to state a clear position naturally, using awkward formulaic language. Paragraph transitions are abrupt, particularly between the second body paragraph and the final fragment. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, as seen in phrases like 'To start with, there are several benifits of saving money. The first and foremost is, unemployment.' Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical flow hinders readability, aligning the text with Band 5 descriptors for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by spelling and word-choice errors. Examples of lexical inaccuracies include 'fulfill there daily needs', 'young ages people', and 'wealthy lifestyle they can buy new cars phones for show their status'. There are numerous spelling mistakes such as 'benifits', 'somtime', 'individulas', and 'thier'. While the writer attempts some topic-related vocabulary like 'unemployment' and 'medical expenses', the restricted range and frequent errors mean the lexical resource is minimally adequate, fitting Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammatical range is limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures with frequent errors in complex attempts. There are issues with subject-verb agreement and preposition usage, such as 'Money plays an important role in individuals life', 'in covid 19 time the India individuals', and 'in condition of health issues'. Punctuation is also faulty, with missing spaces after commas and periods. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader, the grammar performance corresponds to a Band 5.
