Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, it is recognised that the importance of saving is playing the main role. I strongly agree with the statement to encourage saving as for future is an investment. The forthcoming essay describes the argument.
To commence with, saving is a part of life where due to steps taken while investing in any saving process counts upto long-term achievement goals that can be profitable to any individual. Moreover, collecting money for future turns on the back as the saving chart after retirement to many individuals in today's era. For instance, the proportion of people saving money for their after retirement life has grown to be the major security nowadays.
Additionally, there are many benefits to invest money in some projects for future such has for emergency situations where the saving helps the most. Furthermore, being on the track can lead to financial freedom for teenagers to get their possible work done at very young age with the same savings, that brings a lot on their plate. For example, according to survey, teenagers are the major ones to earn their satisfied life at a young age with their investments and savings today.
On the flip side, savings could degrade the economic power where consumer demand decreases in the market which brings the market down. Not only the economy comes to an end but also the return on experiencing new factors of market becomes minimal. To exemplify, older people suffer from not experiencing new things in life just in case of saving more these days.
To conclude with, pinch pennies guide individual for financial freedom for achieving long-term goals and being satisfied in their critical conditions as well as after retirement. However, cost cutting can also damage the economy by lower consumer demand proportion. In my opinion, I believe people should save money but to an minimal extent for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the importance of saving money for the future and presenting a partial counter-argument concerning economic impacts. The writer's position is clear in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion, arguing that saving is beneficial but should be done to a minimal extent. However, some ideas lack deep development and rely on vague generalisations. For instance, the reference to teenagers earning a satisfied life lacks concrete elaboration, and the economic counter-argument is somewhat superficial and confusingly phrased. Nonetheless, all parts of the task are addressed, earning a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is structured into distinct paragraphs with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing both sides, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moreover', and 'On the flip side' are used to guide the reader through the text. However, referencing is sometimes unclear, and the progression of ideas occasionally feels mechanical. For example, the transition from retirement savings to emergency situations in the third paragraph is abrupt, and phrases like 'turns on the back as the saving chart' are awkward and disrupt the logical flow. Overall, the organisation is coherent overall, placing it securely at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a range of vocabulary, including less common phrases such as 'financial freedom', 'long-term achievement goals', and 'critical conditions'. However, there are numerous lexical inaccuracies and awkward collocations that detract from precision, such as 'importance of saving is playing the main role', 'turns on the back', 'invest money in some projects for future such has for emergency situations', and 'pinch pennies guide individual'. Spelling is generally acceptable, but word choice often lacks natural control and clarity, reflecting the characteristics of a Band 5.5 to 6.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses and conditional-like expressions. However, grammatical errors are frequent throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues and prepositional errors like 'saving as for future', 'benefits to invest money', 'lower consumer demand proportion', and 'to an minimal extent'. Punctuation is generally functional, but awkward phrasing frequently impedes smooth reading and occasionally obscures the intended meaning. These frequent grammatical slips keep the grammar score at a Band 5.5.
