Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The student addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear position that everyone should save money for their future. Ideas are extended with examples, such as the mention of emergency situations like health issues or job loss, and the reference to a survey conducted in Japan. However, the development of ideas occasionally lacks depth, and there is a slight tendency to over-generalise or drift into repetitive phrasing. The conclusion summarises the main points effectively. Overall, the response meets the criteria for Band 6.5, leaning towards Band 6 due to some under-developed supporting points and repetitive argumentation.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate for the task, including terms like 'financial hardships', 'unpredictable', and 'emergency situations'. However, there are frequent noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation, such as 'cruical' instead of crucial, 'masses' used inaccurately, 'finacial', 'youngster' instead of youngsters, 'myraids' instead of myriads, 'benifit', and 'numerours'. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5, as vocabulary control is inconsistent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The writer uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures such as conditional and relative clauses ('if they have funds, they can use it...', 'teenagers who save money at young age they are living a better life'). However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the essay, including subject-verb agreement issues ('saving is must', 'young people also have save funds', 'this trends has'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('having a save money').
