Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is always debated that people specially new generation should save their monetary gains for their upcoming life. I firmly believe and agree with this statement because the uncertain conditions can appear in life at any time so anyone specially young adults should learn to manage their financial situations at their earliest.

To begin with, to deal with intelligence the financial situation and save currency for the bad days is such a beneficial idea which can prevent from any random miss happenings. If, people spend their saved money in a better way they will make their lives easy. For instance, in case of emergency or an accident one can help and support theirself and their family & friends by paying the bills of hospital with already saved a big amount so it could leads to a life saving moment for the entire family. Moreover, they can purchase expensive medicines and injections at the immediate demand of the doctors and paramedic staff. Therefore, it is a wise person's decision to take the necessary action accordingly when it comes into the terms of spending or saving money wisely.

Furthermore, For the education and marriage purpose that financess could be use on the favourable time intellectually. Likewise, if a student wants to persue his or her further education from abroad this will be a life changing act for them. As well as, for the marriage, everyone knows a substantial amount could be spend so at that time it will be helpfull to come out from the family crisis peacfully.

To conclude, I completely agree with this point of view that young aged people should save money for their later life that it could be the best decision for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by taking a clear and consistent position in favour of saving money for the future, especially for young people. Ideas are relevant and supported with explanations and examples, such as emergency medical expenses and funding future education or marriage. However, some arguments remain slightly under-developed and lack the depth expected for a higher band, with a tendency to rely on general statements rather than fully elaborated examples. Nonetheless, the task is answered appropriately and the core stance is maintained throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is structured into clear paragraphs with an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a logical progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude', although some referencing and transitions feel somewhat mechanical or awkward, such as 'To deal with intelligence the financial situation'. Paragraphing is used sufficiently, but overall logical flow between sentences occasionally stumbles due to slightly convoluted phrasing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate vocabulary range for the task, attempting less common items such as 'uncertain conditions', 'substantive amount', and 'peacefully'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation inaccuracies throughout the text, including 'monetary gains', 'miss happenings', 'support theirself', and 'financess could be use on the favourable time'. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the lexical score to a Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures and relative clauses. However, frequent grammatical and punctuation errors are present, such as comma splices, incorrect prepositions ('when it comes into the terms'), and morphological errors ('theirself'). Despite these inaccuracies, the sentences remain largely understandable, meaning communication is rarely impeded, fitting the profile of Band 5.5 to 6.0.
