Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that saving money is paramount for all indiviuals irrespective of age groups for bright future. I partially endorse with given notion, reasons favouring my viewpoint along with relevant instances will be enunciated in upcoming paragraphs.
One of the prime reasons of saving money for future is accessibility to amenities and abudent resources. To elaborate it more, in order to live a luxurious lifestyle, people have to spend money on different life necessities. An excellent living standard reflects by owning a good house, healthy body, access to nutritional food and modern amenities, which can only possible by saving money. A pertinent illustration is that, across the world, all celebrities and successful masses leading perfect life style save money to unlock more future opportunities.
However, only money cannot guarantee succesful future. A flawless future depend on several factors unlike money including inherited cognitive ability, potentialities, skills and attitude towards life. In other words, personality traits of individuals combined with sufficient amount of money can offer appealing future outcomes, not only money. A relevant example is that, a minor section of society do not able to get good future despite of being affluent in resources and money. This is because of a lack of capabilities necessary for alluring future.
In conclusion, neither presenting abilities of an individual nor sole money saving secure brilliant future. Instead, both are significant, and amalgamation of enough wealth and essential skills can safeguard a good future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response presents a clear position regarding the importance of saving money while introducing the counter-argument that skills and abilities also matter. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on lifestyle and celebrities in the second paragraph lacks detailed elaboration and tends to over-generalise. Furthermore, there is a penalty for under-length, as the response contains 242 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum requirement. Despite these limitations, all parts of the prompt are addressed, and a coherent argument is maintained throughout, fitting the Band 5 descriptor.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a clear overall structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, demonstrating an awareness of paragraphing. However, progression is sometimes hindered by awkward transitions and mechanical cohesive devices, such as 'To elaborate it more' and 'A pertinent illustration is that'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the phrasing 'neither presenting abilities of an individual nor sole money saving secure brilliant future'. While the logical flow is present, the faulty and repetitive use of cohesive links places this criterion firmly at Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student attempts a range of vocabulary appropriate for an academic task, including terms like 'paramount', 'amalgamation', and 'amenities'. However, there are numerous word choice, spelling, and collocation errors that detract from precision. Examples include 'indiviuals' (individuals), 'abudent' (abundant), 'given notion' (the given notion), 'successul' (successful), and 'do not able' (are not able). While these errors do not severely impede communication, they reflect the characteristics of Band 5 where noticeable lexical inaccuracies recur throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in articles, prepositions, subject-verb agreement, and verb forms. Examples include 'bright future' missing an article, 'reasons favouring my viewpoint along with relevant instances will be enunciated' (passive structure is slightly awkward), 'reflect by owning' (should be reflected by), and 'do not able to get' (are unable to get). Because these errors occur frequently and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, a Band 5 is appropriate.
