Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that saving is essential for everyone, particularly for new generations. While it is true that saving money is not eassy to do due to high inflation. I firmly believe that saving money is the best way to invest in future. This essay will not only elaborate on my viewpoint but also provide relevants examples to support it.
To begin with, one of the most significant reasons is that a habit of saving money helps us at health emergency. This can be attribute to the fact that many of us are not financial stable. which means if there will be any health emergency appear, we will not be able to pay a high fee of expensive hospitals and we will have to chose cheap services. In other words, there will be not only medical expenses, but also build pressure in other expenses as well. For instance, a young men is enjoying his life by expending all his money without saving it, but if there is an emergency, where he has to pay for his mother surgury. At this point, he has forced to take loan and then he will be paying loan for years. This clearly demonstrate that we need to save some money for any medical emergency.
Moreover, there is another important factor is economical crisis. Futhuremore, we do not have to think about current life, like we earn and spent all money, but we have to be ready for any financial crisis. For example, the famous financial crisis happend in 2008, where the whole economy of the world collapsed. Consequently, inflation recorded highest rate in history, where common people had been suffered to buy basic things for their lives. Thus, it is evident that we must have to save money for such circumstances.
In conclusion, some may argue that it is very hard to save money due to many trends, which tend people to buy luxuary items. I believe that we should be very careful with money and trying to save money as much we can. Therefore, governments should launch some programmes to encourage people to invest in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position agreeing with the importance of saving money for the future. The ideas are relevant and supported with explanations and examples, such as medical emergencies and the 2008 financial crisis. However, some arguments suffer from minor conceptual leaps and generalisations. For instance, the transition from health emergencies to taking out a loan is somewhat under-developed in terms of nuance, though it clearly conveys the intended message. The essay covers all parts of the task with a consistent position throughout, aligning well with the Band 6.5 to 7.0 descriptors. Because the ideas are relevant and extended, albeit with occasional lapses in depth, a Band 6.0 is well-earned, leaning toward a 6.5 for fulfilling the overall task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraphing structure, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to signal transitions, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, there are instances where referencing and cohesion are faulty or mechanical. For example, fragment sentences like 'This can be attribute to the fact that many of us are not financial stable. which means if there will be any health emergency appear...' disrupt the logical flow. Additionally, the phrase 'there is another important factor is economical crisis' contains a structural glitch. Progression is evident, but referencing errors prevent the text from achieving a higher band. Overall, the structural organisation warrants a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'inflation', 'financial crisis', and 'luxuary items'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'eassy' instead of easy, 'relevants' instead of relevant, 'financial stable' instead of financially stable, 'surgury' instead of surgery, 'expending' instead of expending or spending, 'Futhuremore', 'happend', and 'luxuary'. These errors do not generally impede communication, but they occur with enough frequency to restrict the score to a Band 5.5, showing an attempt at a broader lexical field constrained by accuracy issues.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some ambition with conditional clauses and relative pronouns. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries. Examples include 'saving money is not eassy to do due to high inflation. I firmly believe...', 'if there will be any health emergency appear', 'where he has to pay for his mother surgury. At this point, he has forced to take loan', and 'we must have to save money'. Punctuation errors, particularly full stops used instead of commas to splice independent or dependent clauses, are prominent. These frequent errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader, aligning the grammar with a Band 5.0 descriptor.
